Words in colour.

Stevie has always said that a poem can be a painting and a painting can be a poem. Alongside a lifetime of lyrics and journals, he paints: bold, layered canvases full of faces, patterns and bright, joyful colour.

Many of his pieces are made on whatever is to hand, from canvas and board to paper and boxes. His home is filled with them, stacked against the walls and hung floor to ceiling.

An opening with a friend from The Doors

Stevie’s paintings have been exhibited in Los Angeles, with John Densmore, drummer of The Doors, opening the show. It was an evening of art, poetry and old friends.
